It's been a while since anything happened here, but Alt_Cash has not been forgotten.

There will be a brief period of nothingness.
Since the beginning, we have tried to help people discover Bitcoin and cryptocurrency without all the usual noise. Much of the site was focused on places where people could earn or claim crypto for free. We have also always tried to remain a largely advert-free crypto website, there's not many of them!
What is changing is the focus, the faucets and airdrops have all but dried up, it's a desert out there folks.
When Alt_Cash returns, it will be aimed at people who are completely new to Bitcoin and crypto, as well as those who have been around for a while but want to refresh or improve their knowledge.
We want to explain how cryptocurrency actually works, how to buy and sell it legally and safely, how wallets and self-custody work, how to recognise common scams, and what UK users need to know about tax and record keeping. A site of honesty and solid information while crypto itself becomes mainstream and more woven into the fabric of His Majesty's Revenue and Customs.
We'll not be promising guaranteed returns, predicting the next coin to explode or pretending that cryptocurrency is risk-free. The aim will be to provide clear, practical and properly sourced information, with a particular focus on people living in the UK.
The old version of Alt_Cash had a good run, but much of the content now belongs to an earlier period of cryptocurrency. Rather than leave outdated information online, we would prefer to take the site down, rebuild it properly and return with something more focused and trustworthy.
Thanks to everyone who has visited the site, we're pretty sure over the course of the site's life (since 25 October, 2014) we've been responsible for over £1million in claimed crypto from faucets and airdrops.
